Yá?át?ééh, we are privileged to welcome you to a sacred place for our people, the Diné. As Navajo we believe that our people journeyed through three worlds in various forms before emerging from Mother Earth into this world, the Sparkling World. Rooms comes with either a King , 2 Queen, 2 Doubles or 2 Fulls. Adjacent to the lodge is the restaurant, located in the original Trading Post built in 1896. In this historic setting visitors can enjoy regional specialties. Combining professional training and ancestral heritage, the restaurant?s Navajo chefs prepare a number of Navajo and non-Navajo dishes. The restaurant offers a cafeteria-style menu and is open 7-days-a-week. This is a historic building. This accommodation has a very small lobby. The historic Thunderbird Lodge is the only hotel in Canyon De Chelly. Navajo owned and operated, the charm and comfort of the lodge, and friendly Navajo staff, add to your visit to Navajoland. To enjoy the true canyon experience, you are invited to ?stay in Canyon De Chelly.?. There is a group baggage handling fee of $3 per bag roundtrip. Earliest check-in at 15:00.
